MOROSO Showroom 2009 by Ron Arad

moroso1

As a bit of a precursor to the next post, I visited the New York showroom of Moroso which were artfully decorated by sculptor/designer Ron Arad. Many original works were on display including the first pieces that he brought to his meeting with Patrizia Moroso. Glossy metallic creations mixed in with the production upholstery pieces in Moroso’s collection made for a rich and colorful showroom.

The works of Ron Arad are truly amazing and there are many production models available in all sorts of price ranges from hats, cans, sofas, and lighting. Next post will be some great images of his MoMA exhibit.

The updates were a little light last week due to a lot of changes going on in our showrooms (which means new products so come on in for a visit).

As promised I will continue to upload my photo’s from New York so everyone can enjoy the different ways that all the lines we represent are shown in their stores.

The Poltrona Frau showroom is located on Wooster St. near a lot of other brands (most within the Charme Group). A beautiful two level space showcasing the latest products and their contract products as well. The showroom was mainly done in subtle creams and browns with lots of accenting pieces.

The representations of color in their showroom, really shows how classic furniture models can be updated to work with any space.

If you would like to see more of their products visit us in store. Remember almost all of our products are available in different sizes, compositions, and materials.

*Stay tuned for more images from New York and next week a special posting on RON ARAD and MOROSO.

IDS West Setup to an Amazing Opening

ids5

For the last two days the crew worked hard to get our store away from store ready for IDS West. 125 floor panels and 27 wall panels make up a modular showroom of some of our top lines. Lots of great exhibitors from all around Vancouver are here showcasing their goods and Inform was happy to bring some of our favorite pieces.

Come visit our booth 706 and see all that we have to offer.

The opening night was a great hit with a huge turn out and some stimulating conversations. Niels and Nancy presented their Pecha Kucha topics on Machines and Cars but unfortunately we weren’t able to capture the whole moment for you all. Maybe next time.

A big thanks to Jason Heard and all the staff of IDS West for putting together a great opportunity for all of us.

And a huge round of applause for all the Inform and Bensen staff that shuttled, lifted, drilled, swept, scrubbed, and polished our great exhibit.

CASSINA products in store now – Masters and Contemporary collection

cassina1

Long awaited, CASSINA has finally arrived at Inform Interiors.

Striving to offer the best in contemporary furniture, we work to present collections with true design merit. Few companies come close to showcasing such a strong product collection and design history as Cassina.

First established in Meda (Milano) 1927, they are the authorized producers of timeless Masters such as Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Gerrit Rietveld; Cassina continues to add beautiful new pieces to their already impressive selection by renewing their line with edgy works by provocateur Philippe Starck and the clean minimal lines of Piero Lissoni. The factories of Cassina are hard at work creating immaculate products for commercial and residential projects.
