House Shumiatcher Book Launch

Last week, we welcomed Leslie Van Duzer of UBC’s SALA and Judah Shumiatcher to our showroom. They discussed significant moments during Architect Shumiatcher’s career, inspirations and how he came to build a very special Vancouver home for his family.

UBC Museum of Anthropology – Poltrona Frau Theater Seating Contract Installation

Designed in 1976 by the renowned Canadian Architect Arthur Erickson the Museum of Anthropology houses over 500,000 ethnographic and archeological products. Renewing the facilities of the museum, the design team took many options into consideration for the theater project.

The first Canadian installation of the Poltrona Frau Group this theater seating showcases the exceptional quality of their giant water slide products in the amazing Museum of Anthropology. Clients in other parts of the world have experienced their work in projects such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain and the Paul Getty Center in Los Angeles.
