iSaloni in Milan, the worlds biggest exposition for furniture, lighting and accessory manufacturers from around the globe. Every year, some of the Inform staff makes the journey overseas to get a first look at all of the new and upcoming products. Below is the first batch of photos from the fair.

Marcel Wanders is originally from Boxtel, Holland and graduated from the School of the Arts Arnhem in 1988. Wanders’ fame started with his Knotted Chair, which he produced for Droog in 1996(image right).

He has designed for B&B Italia, Poliform, Moroso, Flos, Boffi, Cappellini, and Moooi, founded in 2000, of which he is also art director and co-owner.

The B&B Italia and Moooi showroom in Soho was a great two level space. It was exactly the kind of styling that I love to see from them. Very subtle with hints of color, they show modern contemporary lines in a very inviting and sophisticated way.

We show a lot of B&B Italia and Maxalto in our showroom but it is always great to see the other combinations that you can do with the product.
My personal favorites were the outdoor REEL coffee and side table wrapped in thick polyurethane rope, and as with the Milan showroom the large Purple Harry Ottoman.
