Miller Thomson

We are proud to share a recent commercial project on which Inform Contract worked closely with design firm BVN to source furniture and lighting options for law firm Miller Thomson’s new Vancouver office space located in a converted downtown commercial building previously occupied by retailer Sears.

The design concept focused on several work spaces — reception, lounge, library, open collaboration zones and breakout meeting areas. The resulting look is a sophisticated industrial aesthetic with a Scandinavian casual feel.

The Miller Thomson reception area features Bensen Radii tables in oak paired with Hay AAS stools and Gubi Ronde pendant lights. Bensen My Turn lounge chairs, a contemporary take on the traditional wingback, are placed throughout the naturally lit area.

In the cafe lounge, custom 20-foot long oak Bensen Radii tables with Ton Armchair 30 dining chairs offer communal seating and space for larger groups. Groupings of Bensen My Turn lounge chairs and smaller round tables with Muuto dining chairs provide more intimate settings for solo seating or smaller groups.

The office’s library includes a customized Arco Base table coupled with Hay AAS stools. Green Bensen My Turn Lounge chairs offer additional reading space.

The breakout meeting areas feature standing-height Arco Base tables with Hay AAS stools giving the option to sit or stand. These areas are illuminated with Lambert & Fils Waldorf pendants.

From small to large-scale commercial projects, the team at Inform Contract finds excitement in providing architects and designers with fresh ideas and options for their furniture and lighting needs. It was a pleasure working with BVN to help create a bright, efficient, and comfortable space for Miller Thomson.
