Encyclopedia of Flowers, Edited by Kyoko Wada | $85
Encyclopedia of Flowers is a visual exploration of the breathtaking floral arrangements by Makoto Azuma — encounters of unusual, sometimes exotic plants that wouldn’t typically occur in nature. With his meticulously composed photographs, Shunsuke Shiinoki exposes the flowers’ tenuous existence, their fragile forms, continuous metamorphoses, and inevitable decay. This volume by the Japanese “haute-couture” florists includes an introduction by Makoto Azuma and an index identifying all of the more than 2,000 featured species with their binomial names.

Skultuna Ballerina Bowls & Via Fondazza Vases | $98-$280
For over 400 years Skultuna has produced fine metal objects of the highest quality for both everyday use and special occasions. The elegant Ballerina bowls were designed in 2011 by the internationally successful designer studio Claesson Koivisto Rune. Ballerina is a series of unstable bowls with a rounded base made in highly polished brass in three sizes.
The vase series Via Fondazza developed from a 2014 project by Italian designer Paolo Dell’Elce. The work is inspired by the archetypal subjects represented in the still life paintings by the artist Giorgio Morandi whose work was based on a thorough research in the balance between shapes and proportions. Via Fondazza is the name of the street in Bologna where the artist’s house and studio was based.

Designed by Omer Arbel for his Vancouver-based company Bocci, 28 Cluster results from an innovative fabrication process that manipulates both the temperature and the direction of air flow into blown glass. The result is a slightly distorted sphere with an interior landscape of satellite shapes, including an opaque milk glass diffuser that houses either a low-voltage xenon or LED lamp. Available in five sizes with a wide range of customizable colour combinations.

Designed by Niels Bendtsen, the U sofa is an expansion of the original U Turn lounge chair. The soft down seat and clean lines make this the perfect sofa for two. A seat undercut provides foot space when entering or exiting the sofa and helps reduce the visual footprint while an internal steel frame and injection molded foam create engineered comfort and a tailored appearance. All fabric covers are attached by Velcro and are removable for easy cleaning or replacement.
B&B Alys Bed Frame | From $11,000
Designed in 2013 by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, the Alys bed frame consists of a sheet of leather “pinched” in two places at the base: here is where the movement and natural inclination of the headboard originate. For Alys, the Buratti brothers designed a comfortable, protective headboard with a very effective shape that has thin perimeter strips marked by a lengthwise seam. The bed frame can be placed at two different heights, thanks to a system with two sets of feet. The surface was designed to be low to suggest an effect of suspension and floating.
